WoC Policies/Disclaimer

UPDATED: 09/12/2023 Updated Material: Disclaimer

War on Corruption, LLC is NOT an advocacy. While we are aware that a rumor, which claims that we have stated otherwise, is going around, it simply is untrue. We are an independent media platform. Our page is listed as being a NEWS outlet, not an advocacy. If any member of the War on Corruption, LLC team chooses to do advocacy work, they are doing so on their own. The platform does not involve itself with that sort of work.

We, War on Corruption, are not apart of any outside organization. While we have worked with organizations, we are not a division of them. Any and all claims suggesting otherwise are purely fictional, we are an independent platform. No organization, outside of our team has control or say over any articles posted by this platform, all claims suggesting otherwise are fraudulent. No outside platform, 501c3, or any other organization/business has or will take accountability for our subject matter, accountability solely resides with WoC.

Update: We associate with organizations of truth, we work with them, also. We work toward unity, to make the overall cause a united force. Anybody who goes against this, is not what we will associate with.

Thank you.

Privacy Statement

War on Corruption, LLC takes the privacy of our followers, readers, and team very seriously. As such, in articles to which names are not given, we will not address information outside of what is provided within the article. As such, we will not confirm who the author of any such postings are. Any names given to a member of our team, outside of this page, is not shared among the remaining team. This is for the protection of our team.

War on Corruption has always written articles that are not classified as ‘mainstream.’ While we do cover some mainstream situations, our primary focus is outside of that scope. This means that articles written by the War on Corruption, LLC team may very well be in regards to another member of the team. The reality is, we all have stories to share. Being apart of this team does not nullify that standard.

Any persons, to which we write about, has an open door to contact our platform. We aren’t able to contact every individual as we may not know specific names to contact.

The home locations of all team members, contacts, and so forth, is kept private, this is not information that we release to the public. Should we receive a message implicating that an individual has obtained this information, the individual will be ‘red flagged’ and an alert will immediately be forwarded to the remaining team. If the event proves to be more serious, local law enforcement agencies will be alerted.

In no way can WoC assist in legal actions or proceedings. This means that, as a media platform, we cannot testify, validate, or have involvement in any case that do not directly involve the platform. Should the case involve any person to which we have written about, we are able to direct you to said articles for any needed information.

In the event that the platform is being misrepresented, defaced, slandered, etc., War on Corruption, LLC., reserves the right to seek litigation for damages done to the platform’s name, image, and reputation. In such proceedings, documentation, including messages to the platform, maybe provided to the courts.

Furthermore, with a few exceptions, the platform will not write articles on open/pending cases. However, exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.

Disclaimer for post removals:

WoC has the right to remove any postings that are deemed offensive without notice. We do not accept public requests to remove any postings on our page. If there is a post that you feel should be removed, please send us a PM explaining why. We do reserve the right to request further details. This does not guarantee the post will be removed, however. Posts that are screen capped or reshared from other pages are not the responsibility of the WoC team. To get those removed, you need to speak to the initial poster. If we have screen shot a post, you may PM and explain why it should be removed, we will consider the request and get in touch with our final decision. Please, give us 48 hours. After that, please contact us again.

All articles are written factually using any information we have at that time. We are not liable for any false information given to us. However, if proven to be false, we will make corrections to the article. As an independent platform, we do operate in a different way. We do cover “big stories,” but we also cover stories on individuals who may not be covered elsewhere. Rather good or bad, these articles maybe altered with updated/corrected information, or pulled from Facebook, they will not be taken down from our actual site.

If an article is “exposing” a person for any means, these articles will not be removed without a legalized court order from a judge, or a disposition from the court confirming innocence. At that time, the article will simply be updated with the new information.

In the event that an article exposes a criminal background, be advised that this is legal. A criminal background cannot be displayed for malicious purposes. Any and all articles that we write are for informational purposes. War on Corruption is not at fault, or accepts accountability if an individual chooses to use one of our articles for other purpose than informative. If an article contains your background and you wish to request it be removed, you may send a request to the following email: waroncorruption@protonmail.com. However, a written request does not guarantee that the article/information will be removed.

If the criminal background has been expunged, or judgement on conviction changed, please attach said evidence into the email and the article will be removed or altered to reflect that change of status.

War on Corruption, LLC often gets information from affiliates. In most instances, these are individuals with direct knowledge of the situation to which they are providing information for. As a long-standing policy, our platform will not reveal the names of these sources. The only exception to this policy is a court order. This means that any source who reveals information regarding their place of employment, government agency, or another individual, will not be revealed to the general public, or to the location/person to which the information was provided about. In the event that a judgement is passed, demanding to know our source, we as a platform, will fight against it via legal proceedings. The only exception to this is if the informant has been implicated in a crime.

War on Corruption, LLC will NOT release information/names regarding our affiliates and/or sources. The only exception to this policy is via a court order. The platform will, under this policy, do everything within its power to contest and fight against any court order demanding that we release said information.

Threats against War on Corruption, LLC Platform

If, during a correspondence with WoC, a threat, rather direct or implicated, is made, we will simply terminate the correspondence and no longer reply. Furthermore, local law enforcement agencies will be contacted and notified. Our platform will begin transcribing all emails, messages, comments, etc., relating to the situation. This is done for one of two reasons:

1. In the event that the threat is carried out, the emails, comments, or other forms of messaging will serve as a legal document.

2. If any member of our team feels the threat is a legitimate one, the transcript maybe sent to law enforcement.

While War on Corruption does have a subscription program, this is lightly promoted. As with the various other payment methods we have implemented, it is purely to assist with the outward costs of this platform, the team sees no monetary benefit from this. With that, we don’t enforce any reader to subscribe or provide monetary benefits to this platform. Just as we did prior to this, we continue to provide what information we can, free of charge. It is to our belief that knowledge is power and therefore only lightly promote these features.

2. Join as an apprentice, to which you learn the legalities of the field, and will be given assignments.

3. Have some writing skills.

4. All information must be verified with supporting evidence, unless it is an opinionated article.

5. Must be willing to correct articles if additional/new evidence is brought to light.

6. Be able to deal with high stress.

Under no condition will we release release private information (phone numbers, addresses, etc.) In the event that the platform is maliciously attacked for providing public information, we will not publicly address it without first speaking to our attorney. For questions on what sort of information WoC uses, please email: waroncorruption@protonmail.com.

Threats against WoC staff

As with any media platform, we get the occasional threat. This policy has been added due to a recent event.

In the event that a person threatens War on Corruption staff, the threats will be taken seriously. This means, that as a platform, police reports will be made, and the evidence submitted. If this threat is done on Facebook, a link to your Facebook account will also be submitted to the police. If the threat is made on our website, your ip address, GPS location, and other relevant information will be forwarded to the department. Threats of harm will not be tolerated. Upon making these reports, the individual who made the remarks will be banned from all of our Social Media sites.

If you are not apart of the War on Corruption team, but wish to provide us with information as an affiliate, this policy stands with you, as well. If you are being threatened, we encourage you to reach out to your WoC contact, submit the evidence, and we will either advise on what to do, or will attempt to get charges filed. If we are unable to get charges, you can put your WoC contact down as a witness.
