Update
Per her attorney’s request, we are adding his information.
Attorney Javaron Buckley of the Buckley Law Group, P.C. and my IG is: Buckley Law Group.
The Sheriff’s department made contact, only saying “she’s fine.”
Recently, Kaleigh Schmidt, of Petal MS., outed her parents on social media. In the post, she spoke of how she was fed up with their racism. In an odd turn to this post, the Jones County Sheriff‘s department went to her home and arrested her. The charge: obscene communication, this alone had proven to be questionable as I had never heard of this “criminal act” before. For more details on that, you can read the article here.
Upon being arrested, Kaleigh would spend the night in jail before being picked up by her father. Although she is 21yo, it os speculated that she may, in fact, be a captive by the very people she accused lf racism. Kaleigh was last seen being picked up by her father. Since that time, not a word has been heard from her. Her attorney, friends, and even people online have made several attempts at getting welfare checks performed, to no avail.

Even more disturbing, upon attempting to locate her Facebook profile, I found that it had apparantly been deleted. To this, I have no doubt that this was done against her will. We have reached out to the Jones county sheriff’s department and are awaiting a response. However, in a post, Twitter user @Pastel_belle makes the following disturbing claim:
UPDATE on Kaileigh Schmidt: Jones county MS Police are attempting to stonewall anyone calling the sheriff for welfare checks. We need to file a missing person report in 24 hours if we don’t hear anything. It’s been 2 days, and her friends/attorneys haven’t seen or heard from her
If true, this is not only alarming, it is an indication that the police know what’s happened to the young woman. Moreso, it means that the police could be assisting with the illegal abduction of a 21yo woman. Of course, it os alleged that her parents have connections within the department. So who do you turn to? After 24 hours you can file a missing persons report. Of course, it’s obvious that the Sheriff’s department isn’t going to do that. You can file a report with the state bureau of investigations or possibly with the FBI.
